Our Crew

Shane Rodarte is our Founder and President. Shane is a self-taught artisan and has been a professional furnituremaker his entire adult life. At the age of 19, he launched his career by making a walnut roll top desk without a pattern or instructions. Although Shane enjoys music and musicians, he does not play an instrument. His favorite color is green.

Matt Ziegelbauer has been with Shaka Studios since 2007. Matt is our shop's jack of all trades, assisting with building, finishing and packing. Matt is a muscian and has played in various local Christan rock bands. He recently refurbished an electric guitar. His favorite color is purple.

Kandas Nesbitt-Rodarte is our Co-Founder and CEO. Kandas handles customer relations, accounting and marketing and facilitates product development.  She is also a Girl Scout Leader and member of Toastmasters International.  Kandas can tinker on the piano, xylophone and most percussion instruments, but not very well. Her favorite color is midnight blue.
