Wood Designs, Inc. dba Shaka Studios is proud to be a part of the Texas Department of Agriculture's Go Texan Program.  Go Texan promotes agricultural products, grown or produced in Texas, to the international marketplace.  Shaka Studios crafts our furniture from locally sourced lumber in the small East Texas town of New Waverly.  Go Texan!

Shane M. Rodarte is a member of The Society of American Period Furniture Craftsman.  According to their website, "SAPFM was organized in 1999 as a forum for anyone with a passion for reproducing furniture masterpieces from America’s past. The reproduction of a fine example of period furniture calls for more than the mechanical ability of a copyist. It requires a talented craftsperson that has the ability to interpret design and express the character and finesse of the original. Our mission is to support this point of view and promote education and appreciation for those interested in making, restoring or conserving American period furniture."
